Meet a Few of SnoworSand's Local Leaders

Salih: Turkey

The best part about being a local leader is showing you places you wouldn't find on your own - small hidden places far away from tourist attractions that only locals know about - like restaurants that cooks cheap, delicious food or authentic shisha cafes where locals go to socialize. My favorite place to take guests is the Asian side of Istanbul, crossing the Bosphuras on a boat, seeing the mosques in the distance and experiencing Asian life and taste in Turkey.

Konstantina: Greece

Greece is all about pleasures and appreciating the beauty of each moment... such as taking in the sunsets over the Aegean Sea or enjoying the ripest tomatoes in your Greek salad. It is simple but perfection. Traveling somewhere new is about opening up to the unexpected and living the zest of life like Zorba! When you visit me, I'll open up doors that you didn't even know existed! I can take you to the oldest ouzeri in Athens and then to the most posh club on the riveria!

Khalid: Morocco

My goal is to get you closer to the real Moroccan culture, to meet real locals by sharing a cup of tea with a family or taking you to eat amongst the locals in Jamaa El Fna Square. I believe meeting people is the most important part about traveling, and also exploring the culture through the food! That's why we will go to the weekly market where the locals do their food shopping for the week!

Angie: Ireland

I LOVE showing people things they never would expect to see, do or taste in Dublin. It's important to understand Ireland's rich history not just through standard facts but through the spooky, natural and crazy! My favorite place to bring you is definitely the Cobblestone Pub - it's a little out of the hustle and bustle of the city, but full of locals who are willing to talk to anyone, plus they have great live music!

Miloud: Morocco

My favorite part about being a local leader is meeting new people and showing them my country's hidden treasures - its landscapes, delicious food, culture and people. I like taking guests to the weekly markets in the mountains where they can see farmers trading their goods, nomads selling their sheep, and artisans creating their products. When you come to visit Morocco, I will show you the most interesting places that you would never find by yourself!

Simo: Morocco

My favorite part about being a local leader in Morocco is showing you how to experience real life here, so you can feel it and taste it and compare it to your own culture and life at home. Traveling somewhere new is about living in a different atmosphere, being with different people that eat different food and live a different life. All that helps in shaping our personalities and making us feel happy so we can look at life from a new and different angle!

Calgar: Turkey

I love meeting people from all around the world and taking them to places I normally take my friends. When you visit, I want you to understand that every corner has a different beauty, and I want you to meet real people and see the real Turkish culture and hospitality. My favorite place to take you is to enjoy dinner with a Turkish family in their home. It's one of the best experiences to sit on the floor with them and share dinner and socialize.
