Travel Changes Lives

When your child travels with SnoworSand, she’ll get much more than a weekend of photographs and sightseeing; she’ll be immersed in a new culture through fun, off-the-beaten-path activities and cultural experiences. Our local leaders, who have lived in the destinations they represent throughout their lives, are tasked with teaching guests about their country and people, plus ensuring they remain safe and comfortable throughout the duration of the trip. At SnoworSand, we believe travel has the power to change lives. When we step out of our comfort zone and experience the world through other cultures, we broaden our perspectives and return home with greater self-confidence and revitalized academic and professional ambitions.

University Affiliations

How can I get in touch with my child during a trip?

Please call the SnoworSand office at 1.800.959.4592 and we will provide you with a direct contact number for the local leader accompanying your child’s trip. In most cases, our local leaders can be reached immediately, however the group may be in an area out of cellular range. In this case, we will notify our on-site coordinator and make sure your child contacts you as soon as possible.

  • Experienced Local Leaders: SnoworSand leaders are trained in first aid and emergency procedures, so you can rest assured your child will remain safe and well-cared for.
  • Small Groups: We believe the only way to engage the local culture is through small groups. That’s why we cap our groups at 12 guests.
  • Pre-departure Orientation: We provide guests with extensive pre-departure packets featuring everything from health and safety information to weather conditions and packing tips.
  • On-site Orientation: Upon arrival, our local leaders conduct thorough orientations to ensure guests are familiar with local norms and prepared with safety information.
